Casa do Pinhal is a ground floor apartment in a small block of six, within an exclusive complex with pool and gardens.  The apartment was purchased by us new in 1994 and the whole complex was completed in 1999.  It has been maintained as a family retreat and furnished to a high standard, offering comfort and quality accommodation. The complex is just across the road from the beautiful 5 miles stretch Meia Praia Beach which has received an EU Gold Award and offers beautiful soft golden sand and shallow sloping seas from the waters edge.

Spacious sitting room with UK freeview satellite TV, with all UK freeview programmes. Recessed dining area and log burning fire.  Patio doors to large terrace with additional shaded dining facilities, sun loungers and an uninterrupted view across the bay from Alvor to the East and Lagos to the West.  Fully fitted kitchen, refurbished December 2009 with granite surfaces and modern appliances including gas hob and electric cooker, microwave cooker, 2 fridges, freezer, automatic washing machine, iron.  Master bedroom with double bed and patio door to sea-view terrace.  Fully fitted en-suite bathroom with large walkin shower.  Floor safe.  Second bedroom twin bedded with patio doors to rear terrace and barbeque area.  Second fully fitted bathroom with bath and shower over bath.  Maid service twice weekly.  Local English speaking management team.

Lagos

Lagos is a typical Portuguese walled market town and fishing port, unspoilt by tourism and with a superb new marina 3/4 mile along the beach path.  The birthplace of Henry the Navigator, Lagos was also the centre of the Portuguese slave trade.  However, today's visitors receive a warm welcome in the many open air restaurants and cafes which offer moderately priced, excellent, fresh food.  The surrounding countryside produces wine, oranges, peaches and cork.  Palmares golf course, with 18 spectacular holes amongst mimosa, almond and fig trees is a mile away.

Casa do Pinhal is a year-round holiday hideaway.  Warm even in January, temperatures are not excessive in the summer months.  Prices include maid service, gas and linen.  Casa do Pinhal is a family retreat and is maintained and fitted to the highest standards of luxury.
